Dr. Iliana Neumann

Dr. Iliana Neumann was born in McAllen Texas, the daughter of immigrants.
She attended Duke University where she received her Bachelor of Arts as well as a
Master’s degree in Health Sciences. She then went on to complete specialty
training in Family Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and
did an extra year of Fellowship in Obstetrics.

In 2016 she joined the faculty of Waco Family Medicine Residency Program where
she continues to practice full scope medicine along with training physicians in
Family Medicine. In the Residency Program, she was involved in creating and co-directing the Spanish Track, and the High Obstetrics Track and directs the Residency’s
Simulation Lab at McLennan Community College. She is also a member of the
Internal Race Equity team.

She is active in the community as a member of HLN’s Steering Committee and co-
Chair of its Cultural Committee. Other community involvement includes the Board of Waco-McLennan United Way, Trustee of Transformation Waco School Board, Board of Greater Waco Legal Services, Board of Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, Board of Waco Immigrants Alliance, member of the Waco’s Strategic Communications Work Group, NAACP Health Committee co-Chair, and member of the Steering Committee for Waco’s Healthy Women and Children’s Coalition.
