Navegando Mentorship Program

The Hispanic Leaders’ Network Navegando Mentorship Program is an initiative focused on inspiring and supporting predominantly Spanish-speaking students at University High School and Waco High School in Waco, Texas. The program involves Hispanic leaders from the community who serve as mentors and presenters, regularly engaging with students to share their personal and professional journeys. The primary goals are to encourage students to complete high school, pursue higher education, and demonstrate that their aspirations can indeed become reality. Additionally, the Navegando Mentorship Program’s committee organizes opportunities for students to visit local colleges and universities, providing tours conducted in the Spanish language to enhance accessibility and comprehension. This initiative aims to empower students by fostering mentorship, sharing valuable experiences, and exposing them to educational opportunities in their native language.
